I used up the last of my dough today.
I planned on just making another round loaf, but at Husband’s suggestion, I tried my hand at sandwich buns.
They received mixed reviews.
The bread was lovely. Crusty on the outside, chewy on the inside.
The problem? Too much crust for such a little bun.
If we were eating them as dinner rolls, pulling them apart and eating them piece by piece, they would have been perfect.
Trying to get your mouth around 3″ of bun plus sandwich filling…not so much.
Next time, I’ll definitely flatten out the balls more before I let them rise.
