Misti Alpaca [100% baby alpaca, chunky; 108 yards /100g] 2 skeins
9mm circular needle
3 stitches/inch (Gauge not critical)
K – knit
P – purl
K2tog – knit two stitches together (decrease)
Kfb – knit into the front and back of stitch (increase)
Scarf is worked holding two strands of yarn together.
CO 90 stitches.
(k2tog, k1) to last stitch, k1. (60 stitches)
K2tog across entire row (30 stitches)
K2tog across entire row (15 stitches)
K2tog, knit to last two stitches, k2tog (13 stitches)
Rows 1 & 3: K1, (p1, k1) to end.
Rows 2 & 4: P1, (k1, p1) to end.
Rows 5 & 7: P1, (k1, p1) to end.
Rows 6 & 8: K1, (p1, k1) to end.
Repeat rows 1 – 8 until there is just enough yarn to knit end ruffle (scarf should be approximately 48″).
Kfb, k to last stitch, kfb (15 stitches).
Kfb across entire row (30 stitches).
Kfb across entire row (60 stitches).
(Kfb, k1) to last stitch, kfb (90 stitches).
Cast off (in knit) very loosely.
Sew in ends and block if desired.
