This diary writing has become a compulsion.
I gaze longingly at my computer, the urge to write another entry so that my name will once again be on the ‘most recently posted’ list.
I only have five hours of class a week, (I have two independent studies, so they don’t have inclass direction) and although I’m doing quite a bit of writing on this journal thing, I haven’t paid much attention to my ‘real’ writing. That is, the writing for my Professional Writing Independent Study, or the novel I’m working on, or the autobiography that I’m ghost-writing. All I can do is hit, “Add an entry” and watch as my fingers click over the keys of their own volition.
Volition. That’s a cool word. I’ve never used it in a sentence before. I love expanding my vocabulary. It’s too bad Canadian students don’t have to take SAT’s. I’d kick some verbal ass.
